Meet our team of volunteers, leaders, and impact makers

It all started in New York City, 1998.

A group of young Asian American professionals comprised of different backgrounds across finance, consulting, technology, media, entertainment and law founded a team to empower the Asian American community. They established an organization with the mindset of volunteering, increasing awareness and fundraising for fellow organizations within their own community.

Building upon those principles and looking to empower our community, PbP created an innovative platform by which our members exercise leadership skills through direct work and engagement with our partner non-profit organization.

As a mark of its success and impact, PbP’s influence expanded to Los Angeles in 2001. Eventually it reached San Francisco in 2009. Since then, all three chapters have been continuously providing a platform for Asian Americans to practice, develop, and execute their leadership skills.

PbP fosters an environment of collaboration and peer-to-peer learning. Growth only happens when ownership is taken. We deeply believe in the idea of “our community, our responsibility”.
