Project by Project

Following the success of the Project by Project New York and Southern California chapters, we are very excited to kickoff PbP in San Francisco / Bay Area!

We see tremendous potential for PbP to do great things in the Bay Area.  The strong Pan-Asian presence and non-profit community offers many partnership opportunities.  The local area boasts some of the best restaurants and wineries to work with in our signature Annual Tasting Benefit, Plate by Plate.  The Bay Area is also home to a large, diverse professional demographic passionate about giving back to the community.  Given these factors, we believe PbP is well positioned to serve the Bay Area community.

We hope our organization brings together people who enjoy serving the community as much as they enjoy fine food and wine.  Our team reflects these interests and will apply our experience and energy into serving the Pan-Asian community. 

As many of you know, the 2010 PbP National theme is Health Care.  Over the next few months, our team will select a local beneficiary within the Health Care theme as our 2010 partner.  This is a thorough process in that we look for a non-profit partner where we can make the biggest impact-- based on level of need, volunteer potential, and Pan-Asian reach.  We will then spend 2010 on tailoring a campaign of fundraising, community outreach, and public awareness activities for our partner organization.  Funds from events such as our October 20th kickoff and proceeds from our inaugural Plate by Plate benefit next year will go towards our partner organization.
