I. 2004 DISKovery Kick Off Benefit.
PbP and
the DISKovery Center celebrated the
start of their 2004 partnership at our
Kickoff Benefit, held on February 17th
at the Stephen Cohen Gallery.
Guests were treated to a complimentary
wine tasting by Kobrand Wines and appetizers
from Valentino Restaurant, and were
able to browse the gallery’s latest
photo exhibit.
Project by Project and DISKovery
staff and students spoke to attendees
about their 2004 campaign and how to
get involved. Thanks
to all who attended!
All net proceeds from ticket
sales and the raffle will benefit the
DISKovery Center.

II. DISKovery Volunteer Orientation.
Approximately
35 people attended our Volunteer Orientation held
at the DISKovery Center in Little Tokyo on Saturday,
February 21st.
PbP and DISKovery staff were on-hand to
speak with participants about the numerous volunteer
opportunities available with both organizations
this year. It’s
not too late to help! See

IV. PbP 1st Annual Basketball Tournament
- Coming Soon!
Coming soon, PbP Southern California will hold
its 1st Annual Basketball Tournament. The format
will be 3-on-3 team play. Please contact Roger

V. 2nd Annual Food & Wine Tasting
- Save the Date!
Mark your calendars! PbP's Second Annual Food & Wine
Tasting Benefit will take place on Saturday,
July 10, 2004, at the spectacular Astra
West in the Pacific Design Center.
Last year's inaugural event included celebrated chefs
from Eleven Madison Park, Michael's, Sona, Spago Beverly
Hills, and Valentino. This year's event promises to
be even more exciting with chefs from the following
restaurants confirmed: Craftsteak MGM, Eleven Madison
Park, Geoffrey's and Union, Michael's, Opaline, Sona,
Spago Beverly Hills, and Valentino. All net proceeds
from this event will benefit the DISKovery Center. Please
see our 2003
Food and Wine Tasting Benefit for information
on last year’s event.
