Our 2006 Partner: Visual Communications
Founded in 1970 by a group of Asian American graphic designers, photographers and independent filmmakers, Visual Communications was created with the understanding that the media and arts should do more than just present pictures or portraits; they should take an active role in building a more humane, responsible and understanding society. Visual Communications' mission is to promote intercultural understanding through the creation, presentation, preservation and support of media works by and about Asian Pacific Americans. Through our programs in video training, production and assistance for artists, public screenings, and preservation of our community's visual history, Visual Communications strives to connect communities through the media arts. www.vconline.org
