Thai Night to help raise funds and promote unity
(Saturday, July 19, 2008)

The Thai Association of Southern California is proud to announce our upcoming Thai Night banquet on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Arcadia Community Center at 365 Campus Dr., Arcadia, CA 91066. Please come join us for some fun and a good cause.

With the “Red, White, and Blue” theme (colors of the Thai and U.S. flags) to commemorate the Thai-U.S. relations and our pride as Thai-Americans, this event is being held to recognize exemplary volunteers or community leaders who have assisted TASC and made an impact on the community, as well as to help raise funds for Home Hug Orphanage.

Ms. Suthasinee Noi-in established Suthasinee Noi-in Foundation and founded Home Hug Orphanage in Yasothorn Province of Thailand to raise disadvantaged children (104 children total), many of whom were homeless and sold by their parents into prostitution. Some were raped, and some were HIV-infected. The orphanage is responsible for the lives of these children. On behalf of the Thai Association of Southern California, we would like to invite you to bring your friends and family to learn more about the story of Ms. Suthasinee Noi-in and these children. Through this special occasion, we can build bridges of understanding between one another and help those who are less fortunate.

Tickets are $30 each, and recognition will be given to table reservations (10 seats per table). A catered dinner buffet and live entertainment (e.g. singing, dancing, raffle drawing, games) will be included.

For any questions, please feel free to contact Boonrueng Ketpongsuda at (818)284-1167, Danielle Sam at (323)304-3161, or Teresa Thaiphiromsamakkee at (310)890-9245.
