“PbP and the DISKovery Center has had an extremely  successful year,” says Jennifer Lin, President of PbP’s Southern California Chapter. “The DISKovery Center  provides an invaluable service to the Asian American community and PbP is proud to be donating the net proceeds from this event to enhancing the programs of this worthy organization.”

This year’s Food & Wine Tasting Benefit follows the success of PbP’s 2003 event, which also took place at Astra West and was attended by over 700 guests.  Co-chair Kerry Heffernan noted, “I’m enthusiastic about being a part of this great event, as I am every year. I have been chairing PbP’s food and wine tasting benefits for six years now and counting, both in New York and in Los Angeles, and it’s great to see an all-volunteer organization grow and make a real impact in the community that it serves. ”

“I begged to be a part of the 2004 PbP Food and Wine benefit just minutes after I finished emceeing last year's benefit,” says event emcee, Susan Hirasuna. “The food and the wine are top notch and so are the people organizing the event.  Kudos to PbP for bringing a new kind of energy to raising funds and public awareness for worthy Asian American community organizations.”
