Dear friends, supporters and volunteers of Project by Project, On behalf of the New York Steering Committee, we want to thank you for your continued support of Project by Project! Only through your dedication and contributions are we able to successfully provide a positive impact to our non-profit partners as well as the community we have served over the last nine years. Each year brings new and fresh opportunities to help a different member of the non-profit community. This year, we are thrilled to introduce Asian Cinevision (ACV), who for the last 30 years has been a leader in advancing the media works of Asian Americans, as our 2006 Partner. ACV's influence on Asian American filmmakers is undeniable, and we embrace the opportunity to help them further their cause of promoting and preserving Asian and Asian American film and video arts. We are looking to harness the incredible synergy between our two organizations with a number of jointly planned events - from a monthly film screening series, to a workshop for inner-city youth using film to broaden their perspectives, to an awareness panel discussion on Using Media as a Tool for Social Change. In addition to these exciting programs with ACV, we will still be hosting our signature Fall Food and Wine Tasting Benefit which features some of the top restaurants in the city. As always, we are looking for great volunteers to get involved and help ensure the success of our events and programs. We recognize and appreciate how valuable the time you volunteer to support PbP is and hope you'll be able to join us again this year. Through our combined efforts, we can make 2006 a truly memorable year not only for PbP, but for ACV as well.
