The Child Center of New York

The Child Center of NY was established in 1953 as The Child Center of New York by a group of parents concerned with the well-being of their children and families. The Center serves more than 12,000 children annually, ranging in age from newborn to 20 years. The Center counsels more than 4,100 families every year,
including 1,00 South Asian, Chinese, Korean, and Filipino families. A majority of these families are poor or working class, and many are also new immigrants. The Asian Outreach Clinic is a bilingual facility of the Center where counselors and volunteers offer treatment and support programs ranging from after-school tutoring to individual and group therapy.
