Committee Against Anti-Asian Violence (CAAAV)

About CAAAV:
Organizing Asian Communities was founded in 1986 and is rooted in the history of Asian American struggle and resistance to anti-Asian violence.
CAAAV seeks to build the capacity of poor and low-income Asian immigrant communities to contribute to a broader movement for social change and justice.
To this end, CAAAV stresses the importance of building coalitions with other people of color. Through these coalitions, CAAAV works to combat racist violence,
poverty, police brutality, environmental racism, economic injustice, and workplace sexual assault. CAAAV is also dedicated to being a potent and effective
training ground for a new generation of Asian American activists as well as a site for strengthening the political development and organizing skills of
experienced activists.
