Project by Project

In 1998, a group of young professionals identified the need for an organization to help support local non-profit organizations within the Asian American community. Opening the first chapter in New York City, Project by Project was founded as a result, with the objective of helping other non-profits in need through the concept of fundraising, community outreach, and raising awareness for social issues affecting the Asian American population.

Today in 2012 (fifteen years later), the organization has expanded and evolved to become a major player within the community, with two additional chapters on the west coast (San Francisco & Los Angeles). Over this time period, Project by Project, on the national level, has raised over $1.3M for various partners, focusing on different themes each year such as education, healthcare, the economy, etc.

This year, we mark this momentous occassion by celebrating our anniversary as our national theme and focusing our efforts into fundraising and raising awareness for Project by Project as a not-for-profit and volunteer-based organization itself. PbP has, for over a decade, mobilized many young and driven individuals to step up and take action in assisting the community and building relationships with other non-profit organizations. For the upcoming year, we will work with our past partners and continue in our mission to serve and empower the Asian American community.
