 Jane Sung E Bai, Executive Director, CAAAV: Organizing Asian Communities – New York, NY "CAAAV was enthusiastic about the purpose of Project by Project. We believe that everyone has a role to play in the movement for social change and justice and respected the effort of PbP to build bridges between middle-class Asian Americans and organizations that serve poor and working-class Asian communities. PbP members were respectful of our conditions, needs, and concerns. There is a shared consciousness of the importance in organizing and the need for change. It's a great partnership when we can all recognize each other's strengths and limitations and find ways to bridge the gaps so that we collectively benefit from our work. PbP also inspired CAAAV to think about ways in which we can also tap into the larger Asian community for support." | ||
