2012 President's Welcome Message PDF Print E-mail

Building A Legacy...

For 15 years, Project by Project (PbP) has been building a legacy by developing leaders and strengthening our communities with our philanthropic work. Our mission is carried out as we partner with an existing non-profit organization each year to support a shared cause. In 2012, we are celebrating our rich history with all of our past partners and working to enhance our resources by actively enacting our three-pronged mission of raising awareness, fundraising   and promoting   volunteerism in the Asian American community.

Since 1998, we’ve raised significant funds for many causes and and have been able to engage our volunteers to collaborate on high-level projects that break the traditional notions of volunteerism. Last year, AYC opened their doors to PbP LA and we built an amazing, successful partnership helping the cause for youth and education. Along with these contributions, PbP has developed leaders over the years who have not only grown to positively impact PbP but many have continued to be leaders in the wider community.

Understanding this, Project by Project’s important role in our communities is made clear: bridging the gap between the resources provided by young professionals of all backgrounds and the social causes that can greatly benefit from them. In order to continue to do this better, we’re taking this year to learn from all that we have done, ensure excellence in all that we do, and plan with a big vision in mind for everything that we will do.

To sum it up, this is the year we’re taking Project by Project to the next level. We have big dreams, not only for LA, but for our communities all across the nation. Come take part in building a legacy with us.

Sincerely,

JT Kim
President, LA Chapter
