Volunteers will assist in unloading the truck, setting up materials, hanging banners, placing trash bins and liners throughout the Walk site, etc.
While the shift may be early, it is one of the most important of the day!!
Approximate Time Commitment: 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Registration Tent
10 volunteers needed
On the morning of the event, volunteers are needed to process Walk Day registrations and donations, to pass out bib numbers and T-shirt tickets to those participants who need them, and to process payment envelopes. Prior to the event training will be given.
Approximate Time Commitment: 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Walk Day Volunteer Check-In/ Information
2 volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed to assist Network of Strength personnel at the Volunteer Tent to greet and check-in volunteers as they arrive on Walk Day. Information will be provided to you to help answer questions.
Approximate Time Commitment: 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Walk Day T-Shirt Distribution
2 volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed to distribute Walk T-shirts to walkers. T-shirt distribution volunteers will also be responsible for laying out and cleaning up the T-shirt Tent.
Approximate Time Commitment: 6:30 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m.
Water Station Attendants and Route Cheerleaders
30 volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed along the run/walk courses to direct and encourage Walk participants. These volunteers stand for the majority of their shifts handing out water and cheering on walkers as they pass. Weather-friendly attire should be worn as there is no tenting on the course.
Approximate Time Commitment: 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Photographer
2 volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed to take photographs of the events. A list of shots will be provided to you.
