PbP is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit national organization of social entrepreneurs that serves Asian
American non-profits in need by raising public awareness, volunteerism and capital. By
partnering with a different under-served non-profit each year and providing applied skills
such as fundraising, marketing & PR consulting, event planning, strategic consulting,
recruiting, and other assistance, Project by Project represents an innovative and uniquely
valuable approach to community service.

Asian Pacific Islander Small Business Program (API SBP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization, collaborative of five community organizations: The Chinatown Service
Center, Koreatown Youth & Community Center, Little Tokyo Service Center CDC, Search
to Involve Pilipino Americans, and Thai Community Development Center. API SBP’s
mission is to assist the development of small and micro businesses in Los Angeles with a
particular focus on the Chinese, Korean, Japanese Thai and Filipino business communities,
especially those of low income immigrants.

Blue Velvet, a poolside restaurant and lounge is located at The Flat, a residential development in downtown Los Angeles. The restaurant and lounge offers contemporary American cuisine for lunch, dinner and late-night lounging prepared by Executive Chef Jonathan McDowell and Chef de Cuisine Jared Levy. Guests can indulge in drinks such as their fruit infused vodkas while lounging by the pool or in one of the restaurant lounges. Blue Velvet features multiple lounge and dining areas, a 17-foot sunken granite communal table and is marked by sleek contemporary lines, textile accents and skyline views. Prominent architectural firm Tag Front designed the venue, which incorporates green elements such as rapidly renewable wood and bio composite wall panels.
